What is Apple Cider Vinegar?


Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV) is mostly apple juice, yeast turns the sugar in the juice into alcohol (By the process called Fermentation). Further bacteria turns the alcohol into acetic acid.


The main constituents of ACV are-

  • Acetic acid
  • Citric acid

Nutritional components ACV are-

  • Pectin
  • Vitamin B1, B2 and, B6
  • Vitamin C
  • Biotin
  • Folic Acid
  • Niacin
  • Pantothenic Acid



Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

         Consuming ACV may help you eat fewer calories this is because it helps you feel full.

         Researchers found that ACV significantly raised levels of high-density lipoprotein(HDL) cholesterol which is known as good cholesterol which reduces the risk of heart problems.

How to make ACV at home?



Ingredients-


  • apple(2 cups)
  • honey and sugar(1 tablespoon each)
  • water

Procedure-

  • Take fresh apples wash them and cut them into small pieces.
  • Put the apples in a glass jar and fill it with water.
  • Add honey and sugar mix it well until it dissolves and covers it with cheesecloth.


  • Put the jar in a warm and dark place for about three weeks

      [NOTE -stir it from time to time.

                   -apple pieces should be fully submerged.]

  • After few weeks strain out the solids.
  • Leave the jar for another 3-4 weeks.
  • then it's ready to use.


How to take ACV?


To take it directly dilute 1-2 tablespoons of ACV with water and take it before or after your meals. It can also be used in cooking, baking, and salad dressing also as a preservatives.
